As the title of my blog suggests, I love vodka! Well I also love bourbon, whiskey, wine and beer. But not in any particular order.
My career lends itself to my drinking ability and promotion. I currently manage liquor sales for the entire state of Indiana in all bars and restaurants for a limited number of liquor suppliers. I will only post about brands I like whether I sell them or not. However we all know who pays the bills!
You would think that my first post regarding the subject would be about vodka however the high temperature for tomorrow is currently listed at negative 10 degrees! So vodka season it is not, for me!
I would however suggest a delicious Woodford Reserve Bourbon Toddy. This is a take on the classical Hot Toddy, minus the tea.
My husband and I decided to ditch the family this year for a few days in New Orleans. The first stop on our trip was to Kingfish on Chartres Street. The server suggested a warm bourbon toddy, to which I replied, “Can you make it with Woodford Reserve?” Minutes later I had a deliciously warm rendition of a Hot Toddy with my favorite bourbon. I only hope you can also warm up to this delicious lemony, caramel spiced goodness on a cold winter’s day!
Woodford Toddy
1 teaspoon of honey
1/3 of a lemon freshly squeezed
1 ½ oz. Woodford Reserve Bourbon
Fill with hot water & garnish with a lemon peel
This has been the unofficial drink of Snowpocalypse 2014!
